Day Out of Days (DOOD)
Plan cast commitments in a seven-day grid. Enter the period dates, add cast rows and select work, hold, travel and start/finish codes. Print a blank sheet or save your completed version as a PDF. No signup; entries stay in this browser.
Use one grid per seven-day period. Enter calendar dates, including days without shooting, when they are relevant to the commitment being planned.
| Cast / character | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | Day 4 | Day 5 | Day 6 | Day 7 | Remove |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
SW Start work · W Work · H Hold · WF Work finish · SWF Start work finish · T Travel · R Rehearsal · TW Travel and work · - Unmarked
Planning notation only. An unmarked date does not establish availability or payment terms. This template does not calculate wages or generate codes from scenes.
How do I fill in a Day Out of Days?
Begin with a reviewed shooting schedule. Put one cast member or character on each row and the relevant dates across the top. Mark their first working day SW, intermediate working days W and final working day WF. A person working for one day only is SWF. Add holds, travel and rehearsal according to the actual production plan.
Save a PDF for each period before clearing the sheet to start another. Browser storage keeps only the current version of this template on this device; it is not a multi-project archive.

These fictional rows show the notation. Hold decisions must be confirmed for the real production.
| Character | Monday | Tuesday | Wednesday |

| Maya | SW | W | WF |
| Ethan | SW | H | WF |
| Cafe owner | SWF | - | - |
Does a DOOD tell me what to pay a performer?
No. This grid records planned commitments. Compensation depends on the applicable agreement and circumstances; do not treat a code as a payroll calculation.
What if I move a scene?
Revisit the affected cast rows, first and last work days and any holds. This is a manual template, so edits to your shooting schedule do not change it automatically. Read the full DOOD guide for an explanation of the report.
