Tomorrow, in one page

Call sheet software.
The crew only reads one document.

Film Logic builds the call sheet out of the schedule you already made, so the scenes, the cast and the day number are not retyped. Get it approved, send it, and see who has it and who still needs chasing.

  1. 01 / Build

Start from the day you scheduled

The scenes, locations and cast for that shooting day are already there. You add the things only a person knows: individual calls, travel, what time the truck arrives.

  2. 02 / Review

    Have someone else read it

Parking, unit base, contacts, weather, the safety block, the hospital. Check the things software cannot check for you: that the parking is genuinely booked, and that the base is where you think it is.

  3. 03 / Send

    Distribute and track

Export the PDF and send it by tracked email. Each recipient moves through delivered, opened, viewed and confirmed. Bounces and missing confirmations are the two signals worth acting on; opens are measured with a tracking pixel and are less reliable than they look. None of it tells you who read the safety block.

  4. 04 / Shoot

    Keep the day visible

The AD dashboard tracks where the day actually is, and it runs on a phone as well as a laptop, so the person holding the day does not need to be standing at a desk to change it. Crew Live opens from a link on any phone, no login, so the crew can see the current scene and any announcements without being given an account.

What has to be on it

Title, date and day number. Crew call and general call. Individual cast calls, with pickup and makeup times. Location, parking and unit base. The scenes, with pages and cast numbers. Key contacts. Weather and sunrise/sunset. The nearest hospital. An advance schedule so departments can see past tomorrow.

The one that goes wrong

The schedule changed after you sent it

A PDF in somebody's inbox does not update. That is not a software limitation, it is what a PDF is, and it is why revisions exist.

So when the day moves: rebuild the call sheet, give it a visible revision marker, and say in the email which version it replaces. Then check the obvious casualties of any change, which are individual calls, the location, and anyone whose day just got longer.

Common questions

Do crew members need paid seats?

No. Production plans include unlimited collaborators. People who work inside the project need an account and a role; people who only need to see the day can use Crew Live, which is a read-only link and needs no login at all.

Can I send it without leaving Film Logic?

Yes. Distribution runs through Film Logic and records delivery, so you can tell a bounced address from an ignored one.

Can I use it for a shoot I scheduled elsewhere?

You can, but you will be typing the day in by hand, which is most of the work. The call sheet is worth the most when the schedule behind it lives in the same place.
